When I had set up the raid asus a8n-sli raid the Windows HD management screen I just told the asus a8n-sli raid drives to configure for speed, so that means I’m running the raid from windows own raid controller, and not from my asus mobo right???.
I have to turn it off and back on as soon as I restart it or the monitor will be in stand by until it reaches the windows log-on screen. The IDE is C: The first 2 are mirrored in a RAID1 array and the 3rd one is my backup storage drive. It only came up after I updated the chipset drivers and bios the latest available via asus’s website.

I could be a little off on the particulars here, but in order to install Vista on your nVidia raid controller, you’ll need to get the drivers from nVidia if Asus doesn’t have them on their site. I haven’t had occasion to try the load feature in Vista yet. There should be something about Raid Boot Rom or something like that which motherboard is this?
I guess it’s not too big a deal, but it would be nice to boot up a few seconds faster. That’s great to hear. Axus gains imo are not that great but a lot of ppl think its the holy grail. I hope that works for you.
